Let me first say that I used to run a fitness boot camp for about 4 years prior to opening High Amplitude Health. So I know that boot camps are one of the best, if not THE best workouts you can get if you want to get your body in great shape. The best thing about fitness boot camps is they are designed for all fitness levels. On top of that, it’s a group workout, so you feel like you are a part of a team. There is a lot of camaraderie that comes with pushing your body and sweating right next to other people doing the exact same thing. If you have a lot of extra weight, a little bit of extra weight, or you are in good shape, but want to take your fitness to an even higher level, Brien Shamp’s Boot Camps will get you there. And I’m not just a talker. I’ve done them. Last year, I did his boot camp for about 5 months and he helped get me to a fitness level I hadn’t been in for quite a long time.
So, it’s the holidays, and the New Year is right around the corner, and we all know what that means — New Year Resolutions. Sign up for Brien Shamp’s Boot Camps if one of your resolutions happens to be improving your fitness. Believe me! You won’t be disappointed.
And you know what’s more? The more fit you are, and the more movement your body experiences, the less back pain you have, which means you don’t need to come see me as often. Yea! I love to see you and catch up, but I prefer you not be at my office, because if you’re coming to see me, you’re body is probably hurting.
The workout you get here is equivalent to the workout you get at the boot camp. Maybe even better. But, the workouts are quite a bit different. Bay Area Boxing is an MMA facility, which means you can learn Mixed Martial Arts.
But if you’re not quite up to learning Mui Thai or Jiu Jitsu, you can take their Cardio Kickboxing class. That’s where I started when I first got to Bay Area Boxing. Cardio Kickboxing is a fitness class where you do some of the boot camp style exercises, mixed with punching and kicking bags. I really enjoyed it, and you will be amazed at the intensity of the workout you get when you punch and kick a bag for 60 minutes. On top of that, you learn a little bit of self defense. In this day and age, it’s probably a good idea to know a little self defense. Especially if you are a woman.
There you have it, and these are my recommendations. I take my fitness seriously, so I only recommend workouts that I know work, from first hand experience.
